Planning for the Future of
GRANTSBURG SCHOOLS
Referendum Vote | Tuesday, April 5, 2022
The School District of Grantsburg is a point of pride in our community, known for delivering high-quality programs and services while maintaining the individual attention our students need and deserve.
At this time, our school facilities have urgent needs that must be addressed. The district and Board of Education have engaged a community-led task force to examine these needs, develop a list of priorities, and make a recommendation for the board’s consideration.
The task force’s recommendation is for a referendum vote to take place on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. The amount of the referendum would be $19.7 million. It would include the following:
-
Decommissioning of Nelson Primary School
-
Expanding our existing elementary school
-
Updating classrooms and common spaces at both the middle and high schools
-
Repairing building systems and creating a safer traffic flow around each of our schools
